Eros and Psyche

from $72.00

Psyche, whose admirers, neglected the ceremonial worship of Venus and instead made offerings to her. This causes Venus great offense, and she tasks Eros to work her revenge by shooting Psyche with an arrow so that she may fall in love with something monstrous. Instead, Eros scratches himself with his own arrow, making any living thing fall in love with the first thing it sees. Consequently, Eros falls deeply in love with Psyche and disobeys his mother's order.
